Checking out the Thicket Food Truck Park in South Austin for our Austin Food Blogger Alliance Happy Hour.  Always great to meet up with fellow food bloggers to chat about food and find new #glutenfree options around town! 🙂 @atxfoodblogs @austinfoodbloggeralliance #AFBAHH @thicketaustin @artipasta.tx @hawaii_nei_cafe @theperfectbiteatx @libertycoffeetx @simplithai http://www.thicketaustin.com So the safe #glutenfree options are the Kalua Pork served with rice from Hawaii Nei Cafe. The owners are originally from Hawaii and the pork definitely reminds me of the pork roasted for luau dinners when I visited Hawaii. And then we have Chicken Green Curry, Beef Panang Curry and Jasmine Rice from SimpliThai.  So delicious! They sell several of these gluten-free curry cooking sauces so you can make it at home with coconut milk, too (see stories). Then we have the Thicket Salad (sweet onion vinaigrette, cranberries, candied walnuts, and goat cheese) from The Perfect Bite.  They make sandwiches here so there is potential for some major cross-contamination from the bread. And I was excited to learn that Liberty Press Coffee makes a Mango Lassi with coconut milk instead of yogurt.  So it is #dairyfree and perfect refreshing drink for this Texas heat (which should be over by now…) #austin #SouthAustin #foodtrucks #thicketfoodpark #thicketaustin #foodpark #austinfoodtruck #austinfoodtrailers #keepaustineatin #austineats #austin360eats #atxeats #austinfoodstagram #austinfood #atxfoodie #foodstagram #instafood #eatlocal #eeeeeats #goodeats #forkyeah #AFBAeats  #Hawaiianfood #Thaifood #curry #mangolassi
