Gabriela’s Downtown invited Austin Food Blogger Alliance to their restaurant for a brunch tasting and we had a fantastic time!
This restaurant off 7th street was opened by a brother-sister duo (sister named Gabriela) and serves inspired Mexican family recipes. We enjoyed brunch (and the beautiful fall weather) on their spacious back patio. The restaurant has great views of Downtown Austin.
First, the drinks! We started with a pineapple mimosa and many of us agreed that this variation is much better than the typical orange juice! We also tried the horchata, margarita, aguachiles-topped cervezas preparadas, and micheladas.
Then, out came the food. We devoured this delicious menu:
- Queso Flameado
- Salsa Sampler
- Half Pound of Carnitas
- Gorditas de Chicharron en Salsa Roja
- Tipsy French Toast
